Indiana begins discussion of Buddy Hield trade
The Indiana Pacers are expected to accelerate their reorganization.
According to Shams Karania of The Athletic, Indiana has begun discussions on the Buddy Hield trade (guard, 193 cm, 100 kg).
Given Indiana’s attempt to trade Hield this time, extending the contract may not have been easy. In addition, it is understood that as the line is well maintained around Tyreece Halliburton, it is trying to find more power needed.
Hield is out of contract after the upcoming 2023-2024 season. The extension contract (four-year, $94 million) signed prior to the 2019-2020 season is nearing the end. Indiana can help him with accurate three-point shots if he wants to have an outside power. However, if it is difficult to agree on an extension contract, it may be better to go on a trade.
Indiana brought in Bruce Brown from the transfer market this summer. Considering that the contract period is two years and $45 million, Brown will be the main player. As a result, Hield’s position could be somewhat reduced. Of course, Hield’s role as a wingman may not change much. However, there is no room for Indiana not to be satisfied with the contract it offered or not to put much weight on staying.
He played 80 games last season. He was traded to Indiana with Halliburton ahead of the trade deadline for the 2021-2022 season, and soon played a key role. He played 31 minutes per game, recording 16.8 points (.456.425.822) five rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals. The overall business trip time was less than last season, but it boasted a high success rate and productivity compared to the business trip 안전놀이터 추천
He showed off his third single season average three-point shooting success rate of more than 40% last season, with more than 40% of his personal total regular season three-point shooting success rate until last season. Benedict Messerin, a promising player, settled on the team better than expected, so he mainly helped the team prepare as a small forward. But if it’s harder to be together, it might be better to trade
