Actress Yoo Ah-in (Eom Hong-sik, 37) who is suspected of taking drugs denied the suspicion of destroying evidence.

Yoo Ah-in attended a warrant review (interrogation of suspects before arrest) on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, destroying evidence, and fleeing criminals held at the Seoul Central District Court’s hearing on the morning of the 21st.

Yoo Ah-in’s warrant review came about four months after the first arrest warrant filed by the police was rejected in May. At the time, the court rejected the arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in on the grounds that “it is difficult to conclude that there is a risk of destroying evidence or running away.”

As the prosecution sought a second warrant for Yoo Ah-in, he was at the second point of arrest. Appearing at the court, he replied calmly, “I’m very sorry for the concern, once again,” adding, “I’ll answer faithfully in the court and give you my opinion honestly.”

In particular, the prosecution reportedly added charges that Yoo Ah-in ordered his acquaintance to destroy evidence or forced his party to smoke marijuana in the U.S. through a three-month complementary investigation.

On the other hand, Yoo Ah-in shook his head, saying, “No,” to the allegation that he ordered the destruction of evidence and forced his acquaintance to smoke marijuana.

Yoo Ah-in is suspected of habitually buying and administering propofol and other medical drugs about 200 times under the guise of cosmetic procedures and sleep anesthesia at hospitals in Seoul since 2020. He is also accused of prescribing and administering sleeping pills in the name of others, and taking drugs such as marijuana in the United States with his acquaintance Choi in January.

Whether Yoo Ah-in will be arrested or not is expected to be decided as early as late this afternoon
