There is no separate settlement, including the contribution fee for the legal dispute agreement with former agency Kim Min-jung
Actor Kim Min-jung has concluded an exclusive contract and fee dispute with her former agency.
Park Sang-oh, a lawyer at Barun Law Firm (Yuhan), said on the 19th, “We and actor Kim Min-jung were in dispute over the validity of the exclusive contract and payment of performance fees, but we confirmed that there was a lack of communication and agreed smoothly for each other’s developmental future.”
Lawyer Park explained, “We and Kim Min-jung were filing lawsuits due to different perceptions of mutual facts and legal interpretations regarding the effectiveness of the exclusive contract and payment of performance fees, but in the process of checking each other’s positions and objective data, we confirmed that either side was not attributable to the above dispute.”
“We and actor Kim Min-jung agreed to confirm that there is no longer an exclusive contract without a separate settlement process for additional performance fees or unpaid expenses,” he said. “Under this agreement, we will also terminate and lift the ongoing lawsuits and the seizure we applied for.”
Last year, Kim Min-jung sent a proof of contents related to the termination of the exclusive contract to her former agency WIP. At that time, WIP submitted an application for dispute settlement to the Korea Entertainment Management Association (hereinafter referred to as the Yeonmae Association), saying, “There is no violation of the contract.”
