Son Heung-min, FIFA World Best 11 Nominee

Son Heung-min has been recognized as a world class.

FIFA announced 55 candidates for the 2020 FIFA-FIFPro World Best 11 on its official website on Wednesday (Korea time). Son Heung-min has been recognized as the world’s best player, with his name as the only Asian player.

FIFA selected 15 strikers, midfielders and defenders each, while the goalkeeper chose 10 candidates.

Along with Son Heung-min, Mohamed Salah, Cristia Ronaldo, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Sadio Manet, Roberto Lewandowski, Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ellin Holland, Sergi Gnabri, Karim Benzema, Pierre Emerick Obameyang and Sergio Aguo were selected.

The midfielders were Thomas Mueller, Luca Modric, Joshua Kimmich, Ngolo Kante, Frankie the Dragon, Jordan Henderson, Leon Goretska, Bruno Fernandez, Kevin the Brawiner, Philippe Cucinho, Casemiru, Sergio Busquets, Delle Alli and Tiago Alcantara.

Defenders included Rafael Varane, Tiago Silva, Andrew Robertson, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Matthias the Richt, Calidou Coulibaly, Virgil van Dyke, Alfonso Davis, Jerome Boateng, Dani Alves, Talexander Arnold, Toby Alderweirold, Jordi Alba, David Alaba.

The goalkeepers were Ter Stegen, Jan Oblac, Manuel Neuer, Kayler Navas, Hugo Yoris, Ederson, Jannaji Donarumma, David de Gea, Tibbo Courtois and Alisson Becker.

The World Best 11 will be announced in Zurich, Switzerland, on the 18th.
